Project 7: A job interview

Objective: To videotape a mock job interview.

Note:  For this project, you can only produce a video (or iMovie).  You cannot prepare a PowerPoint, photostory, or an audio file.

Length: 3-5 minutes.  Each student may make a 3 minute video.

Instructions:

1. Find a list online of the most common questions asked in a job interview. You may use Yahoo Hot Jobs or other sites. Most sites provide sample answers.

2. Prepare your interview in the target language.  You need to have at least eight questions aside from “what is your name?” and “where are you from?”

3. Practice, practice, practice.
4. Get a camcorder and mount in on a tripod or a table.  Dress up as if you were going to a real job interview.
5. Tape the interview.  Do not edit the file.

Advanced.   Prepare your resume and upload it along with your video to your e-portfolio.
